So Why Don't We Go, Somewhere Only We Know

bridgetIS2.jpg

Fy enw I yw Bridget Seale a rydwi’n astudio mewn gradd celf cain yn fy flwyddyn drwytha  yn Prifysgol Bangor. Ar gyfer fy arddangosfa blwyddyn olaf, dwi wedi creu gwaith gyda’r themau o hunan bortread a geiriau o ganeuon poblogaidd. Dwi wedi creu llawer o peintiadau,  hynain portreuad, sydd yn dangos hunan fy hyn ond hefyd yn darlunio geiriau or caneuon orau a wnaeth erioed ei ysgrifennu, I fynegi agwedd emosiwn y gwaith, rwyf hefyd wedi arbrofi gyda golchion lliw ar llinellau yn y paentiadau. Mae bob un of fy hunain portread yn darlunio rhei or geiriau or corws neu’r fersus. Mae y caneuon wedi cael ei ddangos I cynrychioli, profiadau o fy mywyd fy hyn. Agwedd pwysig iawn arall I fy ngwaith yw awtistiaeth. Mae y hunain portradau yn archwilio sut beth yw byw gyda awtistiaeth. A perthnasoedd blaenorol a phresennol yn ogystal a llawer o feichiau fy mywyd fy hun a fy llwyddiannau.

My name is Bridget Seale and I am studying in my last year of BA Fine Art Degree at Bangor University. For my final year exhibition project, I have created work that encompasses the themes of self-portraiture and lyrics from popular songs. I have developed a selection of paintings, showing my own self-portraiture, which not only presents my own self but depicts lyrics from the top best songs ever written, to express the emotional aspect of the work, I have experimented with colour washes and the lines within the paintings. Each portrait of myself also depicts a few lyrics from the chorus or a selection from the versus. The songs chosen to represent, some true experiences from my own life story. Another important aspect of my work is Autism. The self-portraits explore what it is like living with Autism and previous and present relationships as well as many of my own life burdens and my successful achievements.
